Lighting Channels Demonstration - I wanted to create a more dramatic lighting for the hero object, hence I used an alternative lighting channel to get a more dedicated lighting. On the other hand, channel 0 and 2 would be the main lighting and fillers

Hi everyone!
I'm excited to finally share my latest stylized environment art project, inspired by Makoto Shinkai's Suzume and its iconic door scene!
This project has been a personal exploration of lighting, atmosphere, and art direction, with the goal of expanding my artistic and technical skills as an Environment Artist. Throughout the process, I experimented with various techniques, including UDIM masking, vertex painting, set dressing, foliage creation, and procedural asset workflows.
Over the past several months, I've spent a lot of time experimenting, refining, and exploring different artistic approaches to capture the atmosphere and emotional qualities that make Shinkai's work so memorable. More importantly, this project has helped me develop a deeper understanding of how artistic decisions, technical workflows, and visual storytelling come together to create a cohesive environment.
It's been a fun and rewarding journey, and I'm excited to share the final result!
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my work!
